Shared-Gene Disease Pairs

The Shared-Gene Disease Pairs tool ranks every pair of diseases in GeDiPNet by how much curated gene overlap they share — surfacing diseases that aren't normally considered related but share a large number of underlying genes. No input is required, ready to browse immediately.

Shared-Gene Disease Pairs: the ranked table

Each row shows the number of shared genes (with a "Show details" toggle revealing the actual shared gene names), a similarity score (Jaccard-based, not raw shared-gene count), an overlap coefficient (for comparing a small disease against a much larger one), and a hypergeometric significance test (p-value and FDR-corrected q-value). A Shared cluster column links straight into a pair's multi-disease cluster on Disease Clusters, when it belongs to one. The table is sortable by any column, filterable to significant pairs only or same-cluster pairs only, and searchable by disease name.
